The Thomas Edison exams are not the most cost effective exams. They do however offer a time saver when you are in need of credits quickly in an area that they offer. Many special titles and upper level offerings make these a good fit into certain degree programs.
View the test descriptions and see if there is a possible time saver here. If you are enrolled at this college they are obviously even more attractive. Utilizing the time saving advantage of testing with this many titles could shave a ton of time off of earning a first bachelors degree.
Study materials are again easily found through used textbook channels and libraries.
Finding a specialized degree is much easier with choices such as these. Most testing programs make earning a BA in business administration or management quite easy to attain but other degrees aren’t so easy to put together. With the exam offerings here a criminal justice, psychology or labor relations specialty could be compiled quite easily.
For individuals with extreme scheduling issues because of work and family commitments may want to consider this college and testing program just for the flexibility. If money is not the primary deterrent to achieving a college degree this offering of subjects to “test out of” is very attractive. Independent study could make up the entire degree quite easily.
The Military Degree Completion Program was developed to accommodate the special needs of military personnel whose location, relocation, and time constraints make traditional college attendance difficult-if not impossible. This program allows you to engage in a degree program wherever you may be stationed.
Thomas Edison State College has developed programs with each branch of the U.S. armed forces as well the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Find your regional military base counselor. |
