Choose from 53 exams in the arts and sciences, business, nursing, and education, many offering upper-level credit. Study independently, using an array of valuable learning resources available directly from Excelsior College.
When you are ready to earn the credit you deserve, test at a time convenient for you at nearby Pearson Professional Centers, open up to six days a week. When you take a multiple-choice exam, you will get an unofficial grade report on the spot.
Credit earned ranges from 3 to 8 semester credits depending on the exam and your institution. If your college does not participate formally with this exam program you still may receive elective credit in the subject area. My community college awarded credit in psychology for my exams not credit for specific courses.
Excelsior has a great study package system but any textbooks will work. Many of these exams are not entry level subjects. The exams here are very helpful as you are looking for your final upper level credit in a BA program. The exams are lengthy, over 100 questions and you have a fair amount of time to complete them. Begin one of these exams well rested and ready to concentrate!
Because the price is higher than the DSST and CLEP try to use these sparingly. Nursing students however will have to rely heavily on these exams.
